To ask the Secretary of State for War if he is prepared to extend to mounted officers of Militia regiments the same privileges as to the provision of, or allowance for, chargers as are enjoyed by officers of other branches of the Service.

(Answered by Mr. Haldane.) The grant of such a privilege would involve con- siderable expenditure, for which at the present time there is no money available. I am afraid, therefore, that I cannot undertake to make the concession suggested by the hon. and gallant Member.
