HC Deb 19 March 1906 vol 154 c66
SIR THOMAS ESMONDE (Wexford, N.)

To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland if he will draw the attention of the Department of Agriculture to the desirability of establishing a fish-curing station at Arklow.

(Answered by Mr. Bryce.) The Department of Agriculture will inquire into this matter, but, having regard to the great facilities for the fresh fish trade which exists at Arklow, it is doubtful whether curing operations would be profitable.
