I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether he will consider the advisability of appointing a woman inspector for reformatory and industrial schools similar to that exising in England and Scotland.

The suggestion made by the hon. Member will be considered. I understand that there is only one such inspector in Great Britain, and the number of schools to be inspected there is of course very much larger.
