HC Deb 12 March 1906 vol 153 c915
MR. T. L. CORBETT (Down, N.)

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether it is proposed to send a special embassy to Spain, in connection with the approaching wedding of His Majesty the King of Spain; and, if so, whether the expenses in connection with such embassy will be submitted by special Vote to the House of Commons.

MR. WILLIAM REDMOND

Before the hon. Gentleman answers that Question may I ask if he will bear in mind that it is put by one of the so-called loyal minority in Ireland?

THE SECRETARY TO THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT BOARD (Mr. RUNCIMAN,)(for SIR EDWARD GREY) Dewsbury

The date of the wedding not having been fixed yet, the appropriate arrangements have not yet been considered. The cost of special embassies is borne by the Diplomatic and Consular Vote.
