HC Deb 12 March 1906 vol 153 c936
MR. T. SMITH (Leitrim, S.)

I beg to ask the Postmaster-General whether, owing to the inconvenience that exists in Carrigallen, county Leitrim, in not having a midday delivery of letters, he will have a second delivery of letters granted, as Carrigallen is only six miles from Killeshandra, where there is a second delivery, and consequently the extra expense would be very small.

MR. SYDNEY BUXTON

As the cost of the postal service now afforded at Carrigallen is already high compared with the amount of the correspondence, I regret that I am unable to grant a second delivery in the day unless the residents are prepared to bear the additional expense, which is estimated at about £27 a year.
