HC Deb 08 March 1906 vol 153 cc621-2
MR. FIELD (Dublin, St. Patrick)

To ask the First Lord of the Treasury whether he can arrange that St. Patrick's Day will be recognised, as far as possible, a general holiday in all Government departments, especially in the War Department and in Ireland.

(Answered by Sir H. Campbell-Bannerman.) I will make inquiries as to the existing arrangements and consider whether anything can be done to meet the hon. Gentleman's views.
