I beg to ask the Secretary of State for India whether he will consider the wisdom of appointing a Standing Committee of the House in order to form a link between India and the Members of this House.

As at present advised, I can see no sufficient reason for making, in respect of Indian affairs, an exceptional arrangement, which is unknown in any other Department of His Majesty's Government.
