MR. CAIRNS (Newcastle-on-Tyne)

To ask the hon. Member for South Somerset, as representing the President of the Board of Agriculture, whether he will furnish a Return showing the number of cases of scheduled diseases of cattle reported in the United Kingdom for each year from 1896 to the present year inclusive, stating the specific diseases separately, also the number of cases of tuberculosis; similarly, the cases of the same diseases reported in cattle imported from the Dominion of Canada during the same years, and the number of cattle imported; and whether he can furnish the Returns of the Dominion Government as to the same diseases in the herds of Canada.
