HC Deb 06 March 1906 vol 153 c300
MR. STARKEY (Nottinghamshire, Newark)

I beg to ask the President of the Board of Trade if any steps on behalf of British commerce are being taken, in view of the fact that the United States hold that a treaty right to the mostfavoured-nation treatment does not entitle its possessor to participate in special privileges granted to others in return for reciprocal concessions.

MR. LLOYD-GEORGE

Communications on this subject have recently taken place with the United States Government. I am not at present able to make any further statement on the subject.
