HC Deb 06 March 1906 vol 153 cc291-2
MR. JOHN O'CONNOE (Kildare, N.)

I beg to ask the Under-Secretary of State for the Colonies whether the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia has issued a Commission to inquire into the subject of old age pensions; whether such Commission has made a Report; and will the Colonial Department issue the same, if any, to the Members of this House.

* MR. CHURCHILL

I understand that a Commission appointed by the Commonwealth Government on the subject of old age pensions has recently issued its Report, but the Report has not yet reached this country. I will place copies in the Library of the House as soon as they arrive.

MR. WILLIAM REDMOND

Will the right hon. Gentleman place on the Table of the House a report on the working of old age pensions in such colonies as they have been established?

* MR. CHURCHILL

I must ask for notice of that Question.
