To ask the Secretary of State for War what is the policy of the Government as regards corporal punishment in military prisons.

(Answered by Mr. Secretary Haldane.) The Army Council has decided that corporal punishment should be entirely abolished in military prisons, and the necessary Amendments to this effect of the Army Act will be included in the Army Annual Bill.
