HC Deb 25 June 1906 vol 159 c615
MR. STRAUS (Tower Hamlets, Mile End)

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he can give the House any information on the unsettled state of affairs in Russia; and whether lie could consult the French and German Ambassadors in reference to sending a joint note protesting against the treatment of the Jews in Russia on humanitarian, not religious, grounds.

(Answered by Secretary Sir Edward Grey.) The Answer to both Questions is in the negative. For reasons which have already been given, His Majesty's Government cannot adopt the course advocated.
