To ask the Postmaster-General whether he will state the number of telegraphists attached to the Central Telegraph Office, who are at the present time loaned to the engineer-in-chief's department for the purpose of assisting in clerical and other work.

(Answered by Mr. Sydney Buxton.) The number of telegraphists belonging to the Central Telegraph Office who are at present attached to the engineer-in-chief's department for temporary duty is nineteen.
