HC Deb 20 June 1906 vol 159 c189
MR. LONSDALE

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether it was with the cognisance and permission of the police authorities that Major McBride was present in Dublin on June 1st.

MR. BRYCE

I am not aware of any reason why the permission of the police should be necessary to enable Mr. McBride to visit Dublin.

MR. LONSDALE

Is the right Gentleman aware that Major McBride fought on the side of our enemies in the Boer War and was therefore guilty of high treason?

MR. BRYCE

I have no information on that point.
