I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether Mr. Wilkinson, † See (4) Debates, clvii., 197–200, 1291. who was appointed in December, 1905, to an office in the Collection Department of the Irish Land Commission at a salary of £300 per annum, was an experienced land clerk, possessing skilled practical knowledge of Irish estate accounts; and, if not, what are his special qualifications for the post.
