HILL (Shrewsbury)I beg to ask the Under-Secretary of State for the Colonies whether His Majesty's Government propose to apply to the mainland dominions of the Sultan of Zanzibar, now administered by His Majesty's Commissioner for the East Africa Protectorate, provisions similar to those brought into force in Zanzibar and Pemba in 1897 for the abolition of the legal status of slavery.
