HC Deb 16 July 1906 vol 160 c1312
MR. CHIOZZA MONEY (Paddington, N.)

To ask the hon. Member for South Somerset, as representing the President of the Board of Agriculture, if his attention has been directed to the character and price of the refreshments supplied by the contractor at the Royal Botanical Gardens, Kew; and whether he will make such arrangements as will ensure that the public are better served in this respect in future.

(Answered by Sir Edward Strachey.) Very few complaints have been made with regard to the refreshments at Kew. The prices charged are low, and constant supervision is exercised by the Office of Works over the quality of the food and the character of the service. But I shall be very glad to cause further inquiry to be made if my hon. friend will let me know more precisely in what respects he considers that there is room for improvement.
