HC Deb 04 July 1906 vol 160 c14
CAPTAIN KINCAID SMITH (Warwickshire, Stratford-on-Avon)

To ask the Secretary of State for War whether he would sanction the loan of a limited number of service rifles free of charge, fitted with Morris tubes, to village rifle clubs showing a reasonable membership and under responsible management.

(Answered by Mr. Secretary Haldane.) The loan of rifles and Morris tubes to rifle clubs would involve very large issues, which could not, I regret to say, be met out of the stocks at present in hand.
