HC Deb 03 July 1906 vol 159 c1610
MR. FIELD

To ask the First Lord of the Treasury whether he will consider the expediency of arranging with the carrying companies concerned the arrangement of free travelling to and from the House of Commons to such Irish Members as may desire to do so; and whether he is aware that Members of the Legislature in the Colonies have free passes on all railways in their colony.

(Answered by Sir H. Campbell-Banner-man.) No, Sir, I do not see my way to do what the hon. Member suggests. I hope, if ever the privilege should be granted, it will not be reserved exclusively for the benefit of Irish Members.
