HC Deb 02 July 1906 vol 159 c1393
MR. DELANY (Queen's County, Ossory)

To ask the President of the Board of Trade whether he is aware that the Great Southern and Western Railway Company have been in the habit of cutting away the water supply from the mill of Mr. Peter Dowling, Straboe, Maryborough, Queen's County, which passes under their line, causing loss and inconvenience to the millowner and his customers, which they decline to pay compensation for; and will he see that this practice on the part of the railway company is discontinued.

(Answered by Mr. Lloyd-George.) My attention had not previously been called to the matter referred to by the hon. Member, but it is not one in which the Board of Trade appear to have any power to intervene.
