HC Deb 02 July 1906 vol 159 cc1391-2
CAPTAIN BALFOUR (Middlesex, Hornsey)

To ask the hon. Member for South Somerset, as representing the President of the Board of Agriculture, if he can state whether any steps will be taken during the present year to carry out the intention of the Government to utilise the house and grounds of Cambridge Cottage, Kew Gardens, as a museum illustrative of forestry, pomology, and the diseases of farm and garden crops.

(Answered by Sir Edward Strachey.) We have addressed representations on this subject to the Treasury, but our proposals have not been sanctioned, and' I am afraid that there is no prospect of the necessary funds becoming available? during the present financial year.
