§ MR. HICKS BEACHI beg to ask the Under-Secretary of State for the Colonies when it is proposed to take steps to carry out the recommendations of the Commission on Primary Education in Ceylon, appointed in January, 1905, especially as regards the provision of adequate facilities for the education of the children of Indian coolies employed on the plantations in Ceylon.
§ MR. CHURCHILLI understand that the draft Ordinance for extending educational facilities in the country districts of Ceylon is still under the consideration of the Colonial Government and Legislature.
