§ Mr. FFRENCH (Wexford, S.)To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord- 330 Lieutenant of IreLand if he has received a copy of a Resolution passed by the Wexford County Council, protesting against the action of the Council of Agriculture and the Agricultural Board in subsidising an organisation known as the Irish Agricultural Organisation Society, which has no legal status, and is subject to no public control, to the prejudice of county councils and their committees; and whether he proposes to take any action in the matter.
§ (Answered by Mr. Bryce.) I have received the resolution mentioned in the Question, and would refer the hon. Member to my Answer to the Question on this subject put by the hon. Member for North Cork on Wednesday Last.† The law officers are at present considering the question of the legality of payments by the Department of Agriculture to the Irish Agricultural Organisation Society.
