§ MR. LUNDONI beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland if he can say whether the Earl of Dunraven or his agent, Mr. Peter Fitzgerald, have as yet reinstated in his holding Mr. Thomas Drew, near Adare, or have the Estates Commissioners taken the matter in hand, and, if so, how far have they progressed in the way of restoration.
MR. BRYCEI stated in reply to the hon. Member's Question of 8th November † that the Estates Commissioners had received no application for reinstatement from Thomas Drew. The Commissioners now inform me that they have still received no application from him, and they have, therefore, taken no steps in the matter. They have no knowledge as to whether Drew has been reinstated by the landlord.
