§ MAJOR ANSTRUTHER-GRAYI beg to ask the Secretary of State for War whether he can inform the House what steps have been taken for the defence of St. Helena now that it has been denuded of its garrison, having in view that it is one of the stations for the all-British telegraph cable between Great Britain and her South African, Eastern, and Australian possessions.
