I beg to ask the Secretary of State for India whether he is in a position to make any further statement regarding the payment of the first instalment of the Tibetan indemnity, amounting to Rs. 100,000, which was due on January 1st last.

Communications between the Government of India and the Tibetan representative are still proceeding. I hope to be able to make a statement shortly.
