§ MR. CHARLES DEVLIN (Galway)To ask the Postmaster-General whether he has received from Lord Strathcona, High Commissioner for Canada, representations upon the subject of the postal charges to Canada; whether the High Commissioner has forwarded a copy of the debate in the Canadian Senate on the subject; and whether he is able to say if this matter will be submitted for consideration at the Colonial Conference of 1906.

Representations on the subject from the Canadian Government, together with a report of the debate in the Canadian Senate, have reached my hands, though not through Lord Strathcona; and I expressed my views fully on the matter to a deputation, including Members of this House, a short time since. I have no intention of submitting the question for consideration to the Colonial Conference; but I am unable to say whether it will or will not be raised at the Conference by the Colonial Delegates.
