Empire Cables and the Colonial Conference.

To ask the Postmaster-General whether the resolutions adopted by a number of Chambers of Commerce of the Empire respecting Empire cables have been brought under his notice; and if he intends submitting, at the Colonial Conference of 1906, any scheme or policy with respect to Empire cables.

(Answered by Lord Stanley.) No recent representations on the subject of the hon. Member's Question have been addressed to me, and I do not feel called upon to submit to the Colonial Conference any scheme of the kind he suggests.
