I beg to ask the President of the Board of Trade whether his attention has been directed to the proposed expenditure by the Belgian Government of some £6,000,000 to £8,000,000 upon the improvement of the Port of Antwerp; and, in the event of such expenditure, what proposals he has to make to similarly improve the port and retain the trade of London.
