§ MR. CAWLEY (Lancashire, Prestwich)I beg to ask the President of the Local Government Board whether he will state how many local authorities have applied for power to fix a speed 922 limit for motor-cars within their areas; and how many of those applications have been granted.
MR. GRANT LAWSONThe Local Government Board have received applications under Sections 8 and 9 of the Motor-Oar Act, 1903, from forty-five local authorities. Seventeen of these applications have been withdrawn and several more are in abeyance. MR. CATHOART WASONMay I put my Question here as to the circular issued by the Local Government Board?
