HC Deb 04 May 1905 vol 145 c904
SIR SAMUEL SCOTT (Marylebone, W.)

To ask the Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether instructions can be given to His Majesty's Consular officials to expedite the sending of Consular Reports upon the Trade and Commerce of Foreign Countries and Towns; and whether the Foreign Office can arrange for the prompter issue to the public of such Reports.

(Answered by Earl Percy.) With regard to the first part of the Question, a Circular Despatch on the subject has already been prepared, and is about to be sent to His Majesty's Consular officials. As regards publication, it is not found possible to edit and print the Reports, more promptly than is done at present.
