SIR THOMAS DEWAR (Tower Hamlets, St. George's)

To ask the Secretary of State for War whether it is proposed to withdraw any of the British troops at present stationed in Jamaica, or otherwise reduce the military force now quartered in the, colony.

(Answered by Mr. Secretary Arnold-Forster.) It is proposed to withdraw the three companies of British infantry quartered there, and to replace them by four companies of the West India Regiment.
