HC Deb 29 March 1905 vol 143 cc1511-2
SIR JAMES RANKIN (Herefordshire, Leominster)

To ask the Secretary to the Board of Education whether the Board of Education have now come to any decision as to the amount of grant that can be given in aid of the building or purchase of buildings for the purpose of a training college for elementary school teachers; and, if so, whether be could state what sum had been or would be awarded to the Hereford Training College.

(Answered by Sir William Anson.) The matter is still under consideration, and I am afraid that I am not yet in a position to make any statement upon the subject. The Board are in communication with the Treasury upon the matter.
