HC Deb 21 March 1905 vol 143 cc662-3
DR. AMBROSE (Mayo, W.)

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether, in view of the fact that the survey for the extension of Darby's Point Pier at Achill Island, county Mayo, for which the Board passed a vote at their meeting in November last, was made on various dates between January 23rd and February 7th, he will explain why the Secretary of the Congested Districts Board (Ireland) in a letter dated March 2nd and addressed to the hon. Member for Mayo West, stated that the survey was not yet made

MR. WALTER LONG

The Secretary to the Board was not in possession of the information mentioned in the first part of the Question until the 8th instant, when the engineer's report was received. Hence his letter of the 2nd instant.
