I beg to ask the Secretary of State for War whether any commission or remuneration was paid or agreed to be paid to the Agents-General of the Colonies or other and what persons, in respect of orders for the supply of stores to the War Office for South Africa; and, if so, what are the particulars.

MR. ARNOLD-FORSTER

No commission or remuneration of any sort was paid by the War Office to the Agents-General or any persons in respect of orders placed with the Colonies by the War Office for supplies to South Africa.

DR. MACNAMARA

Was any commission paid by the contractors to the Agents-General?
