HC Deb 10 March 1905 vol 142 cc1053-4
SIR WALTER FOSTER (Derbyshire, Ilkeston)

To ask the Secretary of State for War what is the result of the negotiations he stated, in reply to a Question in July last, were in progress as to the removal of the London recruiting from St. George's Barracks; whether any site has been purchased; if so, where; and when the building of the new recruiting barrack will be commenced.

(Answered by Mr. Secretary Arnold-Forster.) The site, for which negotia- tions were in progress, proved too expensive to purchase. The whole question is, therefore, still under consideration.
