HC Deb 10 March 1905 vol 142 c1054
MR. FREDERICK WILSON (Norfolk, Mid.)

; To ask the Secretary of State for War if any assistance will be given to rifle clubs during the current year; and, if no financial assistance can be given, whether the use of Government ranges, when not otherwise required, will be granted without charge and free of rent to such clubs, provided that all expenses for markers and watchers are paid.

(Answered by Mr. Secretary Arnold-Forster.) It is not possible to give any financial assistance to rifle clubs during the current year. The control of the Government ranges rests in the hands of the General Officers Commanding-in-Chief, who will doubtless render any assistance that they can to such clubs.
