§ MR. HEMPHILL (Tyrone, N.)I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether he has received a copy of a resolution unanimously adopted at a meeting of the Strabane Teachers' Association, at Strabane, on January 21st,1905; and, if so, whether any steps have been or will be taken to redress the grievances 22 of the national school teachers in Ireland as respectfully demanded in that resolution.
§ MR. ATKINSON (for Mr. WYNDHAM)The resolution has been received. The question of the allocation in Ireland of the amount provided as an equivalent of the aid grant for education in England has been frequently discussed in this House. My right hon. friend has no further statement to make in the matter at present.
