HC Deb 29 June 1905 vol 148 c551
MR. CHARLES DOUGLAS (Lanarkshire, N. W.)

I beg to ask the First Lord of the Treasury when he proposes to proceed with the Education (Scotland) Bill in Committee.

MR. A. J. BALFOUR

I do not think I have anything to add to the Answer I gave yesterday†, which was to the effect that I cannot fix a day for this Bill, and that we must make some progress first with the Scottish Churches Bill.

MR. CHARLES DOUGLAS

Does the right hon. Gentleman intend to proceed with the Bill?

MR. A. J. BALFOUR

I wish to proceed with it, but I cannot promise to do so.
