HC Deb 26 June 1905 vol 148 c97
MR. WEIR

I beg to ask the Lord-Advocate, in view of the statement contained in the letter addressed by the Secretary for Scotland to the Chairman of the Lewis Local Committee on 15th February, 1904, will he state whether it has yet been found possible to secure a reduction in the rates charged for the sea carriage of fish from Stornoway.

MR. SCOTT DICKSON

This matter has been very carefully inquired into since February, 1904, but I regret I am unable to give the hon. Member any assurances as to the probability of a reduction of the rates in question.
