§ MR. BOLANDI beg to ask the Secretary to the Board of Trade whether, with a view to obviating the loss which has fallen on traders in Valentia Island in consequence of the withdrawal of the Clyde Shipping Company's steamer, he will see that the Great Southern and Western Railway Company make proper provision for the storage and ferrying of goods from their terminus at Reenard.
§ MR. BONAR LAWThe Board of Trade have no statutory powers of intervention in the matters to which the hon. Member refers, but they have been informed by the railway company, to whom a copy of the Question was forwarded, that whilst they afford every reasonable accommodation for the storage of goods at their stations they have no powers which would enable them to work a ferry to Valentia Island.
