§ MR. DELANYI beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether the Estates Commissioners have power, under the Act of 1903, to give money compensation to a planter who is willing to surrender an evicted farm, or to provide him with a farm of equivalent value elsewhere, in order to effect the restoration of the evicted tenant or his representative.
§ MR. ATKINSONThis is really an abstract question of law for the decision of those administering the Act. I may, however, refer the hon. Member to the reply given by my right hon. friend the Member for Dover to a similar Question on August 13th,† 1904.
