MR. HARMSWORTH

To ask the Lord - Advocate whether the Fishery Board for Scotland are to be empowered to make loans or advances for the purchase of large herring boats, such as are now necessary for the successful prosecution of the herring fishery, to approved crews of fishermen in Caithness and Sutherland on the share system, as recommended by the Departmental Committee on the Sea Fisheries of Sutherland and Caithness.
