HC Deb 27 July 1905 vol 150 c590
MR. KENDAL O'BRIEN (Tipperary, Mid)

To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland what were the several sums paid to the teacher of Mohorough National School, Roll No. 5097, for the yearly period ended 31st May, 1900; and why did not the total amount for this period equal his consolidated salary of £85.

(Answered by Mr. Walter Long.) The sums were: —

£ s. d.
Class salary 44 0 0
20 per cent, increase thereon 8 16 0
School grant 9 5 2
Equivalent grant 15 15 5
77 16 7

The consolidated income was based on payments made to the teacher during the three years ended March 31st, 1900, and this income would not necessarily correspond with payments actually made for the twelve months ended May 31st, 1900.
