I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland if he will state how many inquiries were held into charges of alleged misconduct, gambling and otherwise, affecting the Royal Irish Constabulary in Ireland for the last three years, distinguishing the numbers for the four provinces.

Sixty-six Courts of inquiry into various disciplinary offences, namely, fourteen in Ulster, eleven in Leinster, twenty-eight in Munster, and thirteen in Connaught. There were also 213 unsworn investigations, namely, fifty-one in Ulster, fifty-six in Leinster, eighty-three in Munster, and twenty-three in Connaught.
