HC Deb 25 July 1905 vol 150 c192
MR. VINCENT KENNEDY

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland if he will state in how many cases the horse police stations have been discontinued in Ireland; and whether the stables are now used for any purpose; and, if so, by whom.

MR. WALTER LONG

Mounted police have been withdrawn from twenty county headquarter stations. The stabling at these stations is now used for the Judges' escorts at Assizes, and for other public purposes.
