To ask the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether His Majesty's Government has accepted the proposals of the Dominion Government to take over, on certain conditions, the entire control of the Halifax defences and garrison on July 1st, and that of Esquimault on July 1st, 1906, meanwhile defraying its entire cost; and whether the correspondence that has passed between the two Governments will be laid before Parliament.

(Answered by Mr. Secretary Lyttelton.)His Majesty's Government have accepted the proposals of the Dominion Government as to taking over the defences and garrisons at Halifax and Esquimault. The correspondence on the subject will be presented to Parliament.
