HC Deb 18 July 1905 vol 149 c1067
MR. WEIR

I beg to ask the Lord-Advocate if he will state what progress has been made with the scheme for training boys in seamanship at Liscard Institution, Liverpool; how many boys have been admitted; and from what districts do they come.

THE LORD-ADVOCATE (Mr. SCOTT DICKSON, Glasgow, Bridgton)

Though the Congested Districts Board sent full information throughout the congested area, the response has been disappointing. Only three applications were made, one from Lewis for a boy over age, one from Embo and one from Brora in Sutherland, which are now before the Liscard authorities.
