HC Deb 10 July 1905 vol 149 c90
MR. CHARLES CRAIG

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether he is aware that on the 3rd June a bull was maliciously injured at Ballyphilip, county Tipperary, by having a portion of its tongue cut out; what is the motive for this injury; and whether the police have been able to trace the perpetrator.

MR. WALTER LONG

Yes, Sir. At the hearing of the owner's claim for compensation, the motive assigned for this out-rage was that the owner had taken the grazing farm on which the animal was grazing when injured. The police have not succeeded in tracing the perpetrator, but are using every effort to do so.

MR. SWIFT MACNEILL

HOW you know the motive then?
