HC Deb 05 July 1905 vol 148 c1120
MR JOSEPH DEVLIN

To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether his attention has been called to the prosecution of a number of drivers before the Belfast magistrates on 28th June, and to the fact that, the drivers having pleaded ignorance of the by-laws with a breach of which they were charged, the magistrates expressed the opinion that the by-laws had not been sufficiently published; and whether he will communicate with the authorities in Belfast, with a view to the sufficient publication of the by-laws referred to.

(Answered by Mr. Walter Long.) A further promulgation of the regulations is about to take place. Placards containing the regulations will be posted up throughout the city, and copies will be sent to the owners of vehicles for distribution amongst their drivers.
